Training and Experience
I have an MA degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling awarded by Middlesex University and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative
Psychotherapy and Counselling gained after a 5 year training at The Minster Centre in London.
I also have knowledge of the neurological differences of ADD / ADHD, dyslexia and other similar syndromes. In
these areas I have a Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia) and a Certificate in Coaching (AD/HD).
Many years ago I trained and worked at a local hospice as
a bereavement counsellor.
My Individual and Group Supervision training was with CSTD (Centre for Supervision and Team
Development).
As a registrant of the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and a
member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) I work within and adhere
to ethical frameworks for good practice. An aspect of this is regular clinical consultation and continuous professional development. I deepen and expand my learning in the field of therapy by attending workshops,
groups, further training and being actively involved in a development and support group.
My therapy practice has included seeing people privately, within a counselling service
in Chelmsford, within the NHS and through Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs).
